Resources Plc mining operations are focused
on alluvial diamond and gold mining in Sierra
Leone
Target Resources plc
(“Target”) operates through its subsidiary
Milestone Trading Ltd (“Milestone”)
and its Sierra Leone subsidiaries. Its main objective
is the recovery of alluvial diamonds and gold
in the Kono district of Sierra Leone, and their
sale on world markets.
Milestone is among the
first large scale mining ventures to be established
in Sierra Leone since the end of the civil war.

also fully abide by the
Kimberley Process for the
proper certification of
rough diamonds. This process
is designed to prevent the
illegal trade in conflict
diamonds. The Kimberley
Process was the result of
a major joint United Nations
initiative between governments,
non governmental organisations
and the World Diamond Council
of which Mr Freddy Hager,
Target's chairman, is a
founder and charter member. |
